The spring around here came and went quickly, ending with a sucker punch of fierce storms. We survived the tornadic weather with little more than a few down fences and trees. Following the storms came the hot weather. What started out with a normal hot southern summer soon turned into a record breaking heat wave. Temperatures soared into the 100's and there was no rain in sight. We went nearly 42 days without a drop of rain and when it finally came, it was only in spots.
